You have a product, service, or model ready to scale — not an idea to validate. EarthScale® is not a pre-product incubator. You must demonstrate you have crossed the threshold from building to selling, even if early stage.

Your venture is genuinely aligned with climate or ocean system health, not simply ESG-adjacent. We evaluate whether the mission is the engine of your business or the marketing layer on top of it. Founders who treat climate as the core value proposition are prioritized.

Our model requires founders who can give and receive within a peer cohort. Founders who enter wanting to extract value from the program, rather than contribute to the collective, undermine the Ubuntu architecture that makes the model work. We look for evidence of reciprocity in how you describe your ecosystem relationships.

Given our co-founders' network density in the ocean economy sector, EarthScale® prioritizes at least 40% of each cohort from blue economy, ocean tech, coastal community, or marine conservation sectors. Climate tech broadly is in scope, but ocean economy founders will find our network disproportionately valuable.

This program is built for founders navigating philanthropic capital, aligned investment, or corporate sustainability funding, not traditional VC. If you require only conventional venture capital, this is not the right fit. Founders navigating complex, blended funding landscapes are the sweet spot.
